Muchas bandas y cantantes fueron influenciados por el poema El Cuervo (The Raven) de Poe. Podemos mencionar a The Cure, Diamanda Galás, Sopor Aetemius & The Ensamble of Shadows, Ópera IX, los alemanes Grave Digger, Bob Dylan Silvio Rodríguez, Vox Crows. Indudablemente, el gran disco homenaje a Poe fue «Tales of Mistery and Imagination» de Allan Parson Project del cual rescatamos el tema: «The Raven» (versión en castellano):
El reloj dio la medianoche/ Y a través de mi dormir/ Oí unos golpecitos en mi puerta/ Me miró, pero no estaba en la oscuridad/ Y, entonces, se volvió una vez más en el interior//
